YMCA Camp Elphinstone is our Outdoor School site on the Sunshine Coast. This campus provides a semi-circular cluster of winterized cabins & lodges. Each cabin sleeps 11 students and 1 adult supervisor. Inside are bunk style beds with sealed mattresses, washrooms with sinks, flush toilets and showers, outside the cabins but close by. The lodges sleep 28-32 people with bathroom and shower facilities within each lodge. The campus includes a large rec hall, cafeteria and health centre.
Camp Latona is our Outdoor School site on Gambier Island. The facility provides a large cluster of rustic cabins. Each cabin sleeps 8-16 students with at least 1 adult supervisor. Inside are bunk style beds with sealed mattresses and linoleum floors. All cabins are close to washroom & shower facilities, a large rec hall and cafeteria.
Students will spend most of their day outside, rain or shine, in the many beautiful natural settings of both Outdoor School sites. Both campus facilities offer comfortable meeting places where groups can warm up by a fire and 'dry out' after a day in our West Coast 'classroom.'
